It was perfect in every way! I've decided that in order to buy one I'm going to wait till my birthday so I can raise up a bit more money to buy one. Also You can get them in any color combination you want so you can have a Unit 01 bike!

Just making sure it was the one I remembered. I thought there was one for five grand, but I must be thinking of a different bike. That bike is worth more than my car.

Very cool. What components are you going to put on it?

Well it comes with ultegras which I will probably keep for a while. I'm a big fan of SRAM though so I would like to eventually upgrade to red 22.

I'm the other way around - Shimano and Campy fan here. Let us know how it rides once you've gotten it!

How old are you?
Just wondering, since you seem pretty young.
There's a chance I'm getting a Genesis Saber or similar for Christmas.

$3,500. For. A. Bike? Please explain this. Do you ride competitively? Commute every day to school 20 miles, up hill. Both ways?
I'm at a loss to justify that much money for a bicycle. $500, sure. $1,000? OK, if you ride a ton of miles a year. $2,000? OK, now it's getting expensive, and there better be money involved if you win a race.

Actually I am planning on racing competitively. And if I'm good then yes, money will be involved, though it's more for fun than for money.
As for the price. It's the same reason people spend $250,000 on a Ferrari, it's quality craftsmanship.

That is hella cool. I'm currently looking for a 56 (grr everyone rides that size) cm. but ultegra is one bit of a step over 105 and dura ace is a high jump.

With bikes like these, the price reflects added lightness. And we're talking ounces removed. My current bike weighs around 22-24 lbs (I think). I put on lighter wheels I got for free from a coworker who rides an $8 grand carbon fiber bike, complete with lighter tires with less rolling resistance, and I exchanged the eggbeaters for real pedals. I can't really say I would need anything more. I got it for a LOT less as a "last year's model" and it's been great to me, as my first drophandle.
